Howard’s Story

I started to think about this concept for the Stor N Boat™ a few years ago when I was on vacation with my wife. I was driving all over North America-from Florida to Ohio, then to Sioux Lookout in Ontario, and finally on to Alaska.

During the journey I became obsessed with an idea: why hasn’t anyone developed a car top carrier that could be used as a small functional boat.

On our trip we pulled a small travel trailer. I packed an inflatable rubber boat in back of my SUV. As you can imagine, there was little room for my wife and dog. As an avid fisherman and hunter, regardless of the inconvenience, I couldn’t imagine taking off on a vacation without a boat to fish the remote lakes and rivers we would encounter.

Well, after about three weeks and a few lakes in the trip, the inflatable boat developed a leak in the valve, making it useless. I knew it would be impossible to find a replacement in a remote area of Alaska.

My thoughts kept returning to the countless number of car top carriers I’d seen along the way that reminded me of small boat. That’s when I got hooked on the idea to produce a more durable, versatile product. I started to think of all the times I could have used a product such as the Stor N Boat™.

In designing the Stor N Boat™, my partner and I wanted to create an affordable dual-purpose product that you and your family can enjoy.

As a result of over three years of research, planning and the support of many, we’ve created the perfect product for people who love to camp, fish, hunt and enjoy the great outdoors.
